Kid’s Toy’s Sure Are Nice

I remember a time when growing up and silly putty and a yo-yo were the greatest gifts a kid could get. Now those gifts pale to comparison to the things that kids have to choose from. Talking computers and video games seem to be all the rage. The best they had when I was growing up was pong and the only computer was a Texas Instrument computer which was way out of my parent price range.

Gone from kid’s wishlist is the rugged Tonka Truck which is still made, but not like they use to be. Oh the days of playing in the dirt with my crane and dump truck. These toys have been replaced with playstations, and Xbox’s. The imagination from their world is disappearing. Kids don’t have to think anymore it’s done for them. It’s a shame because part of the fun was getting things done on your own. Now a push of a button and the answer appears. Will we ever go back to the simple life? Nope it’s gone but still in my imagination.
