I decided I would give some tips that have help me and my daughters through the years grow closer together and become better friends and give us less problems growing up together.
- Listen, Listen, Listen: Many times as parents we forget to listen to their side of the story. We get our opinion etched in our mind and forget about the feelings they have.
- Encouragement: Encourge them to be the best they can be. No matter if it’s something you may not like they like it so show your support with words of encouragement.
- Support School Actitivies: If they do have school sports or even school choir be there for them when they are doing the best they can. Kids look for their parents in crowds and it means a lot to have you there.
- Respect Her: Many times we may not agree with her music or other things, but that doesn’t mean we can stop supporting her. Give her respect and she will give it back.
- Show Her Love: This may be the most important one. Giving a hug or just the words I Love You can mean so much to her when she’s having a bad or good day. Show her love and put a smile on her face.
I hope these have helped. These have worked well for me.
